Jacques launched his scientific career with a PhD in Molecular Biology and has since built over 15 years of experience in sales, product management, and business development within the life sciences and diagnostic industries. He has worked extensively across Africa, the Middle East, and Europe, specialising in genomics, sequencing, automation, and biobanking.

His journey began as a pioneering application specialist in next-generation sequencing (NGS), where he played a key role in training experts, expanding market adoption, and bridging the gap between cutting-edge technology and real-world applications. Over the years, he has developed a strong strategic approach to supplier relationship management, sales strategy alignment, and market development, helping to drive innovation in research and diagnostics.

Beyond his professional life, Jacques is an explorer at heart. Whether travelling to historical sites, indulging in his passion for sushi, or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, he enjoys experiencing different cultures through food and adventure. He has a deep appreciation for tropical fish and dreams of one day having a koi pond and a Zen garden. When he’s not watching rugby or planning his next travel destination, he enjoys learning about biohacking and ways to optimise health — because science isn’t just his career, it’s a way of life.
